Scaffolds dancin’ like daffodils
For drones from the hobby store
Crowds gather ‘round and sing in the sound
Of bells crashing through the floor
“This mystery beauty is something
I saw in a movie before
Wasn’t paying attention
My shoes were sticking to the floor”
Victor Hugo saw something
And it ain’t there anymore
Everyone took pictures
Sharing them online
We don’t need these memories
We can keep ‘em in a box
The box was in a building
And the building is a loss
Smoke travelled up to satellites
Their eyes watered down like rain
Drizzle the electric pinball bounce
Rollin’ glowin’ down the drain
An old man smelled the faintest hint
Of something he’d known as a child
Faint painted image he barely knew
But that image struck him blind
Victor Hugo saw something
And it ain’t there anymore
Everyone took pictures
Sharing them online
We don’t need these memories
We can keep ‘em in a box
The box was in a building
And the building is a ghost
The building is a ghost….
